Jessica Bonczar, PsyD, LMHC

Jessica Bonczar has completed her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Medaille University in 2023. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Ms. Bonczar has experience providing psychotherapy services to both children and adults that have presented with a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family/relationship issues and loss. Moreover, Ms. Bonczar enjoys helping young adults as they navigate through life’s various challenges and transitions.Ms. Bonczar tailors’ treatment to the individual, utilizing various evidence-based approaches and interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). She places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and aims to empower clients to become the best version of themselves. Ms. Bonczar believes a safe and comfortable therapeutic space is necessary for progress to begin; therefore, when in her presence you can expect to be treated with kindness and respect.

Ms. Bonczar obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of New York College at Cortland in May 2009 and then soon after she completed her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College in February 2013. Most recently, she is currently completing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Medaille College. During her graduate studies, she taught several online master level courses in the Mental Health Counseling Program at Medaille College while also maintaining a part-time private practice. Ms. Bonczar has had the opportunity to work within various clinical settings, such as an inpatient treatment facility, school, psychiatric hospital, community behavioral mental health center, and comprehensive cancer center.
